How to log in to Moodle for the first time and set your password

Follow these instructions for logging in to Moodle for the first time and setting up your personal password:

Step One: go to your email inbox and open the official letter we sent you welcoming you to the online course. If you haven't already received it you'll be getting it soon and it looks just like this.

You can see there is a direct link to the eDGH Moodle site, and a password has been provided for your first time login. Highlight this password and copy it. Then click on the link to the course.

Step Two: This will bring you to a page where you will be asked to enter your current password, the one we provided for you, and change it to a password of your choosing. Paste in the password you copied from the email.

Step Three: Enter the password of your choice into the “New Password” text field. Please note that the password you set is required to have at least 8 characters, and contain at least 1 uppercase character, 1 lowercase character, and 1 special character.

Step Four: Enter the same password once again and click “Save Changes”

Step Five: A page will appear indicating that the password has been changed. Click “Continue” and you will arrive at the eDGH dashboard. Going forward, you can log in anytime by visiting https://learn.edgh.uw.edu/login/ and logging with your e-mail address
