Setting the timezone in your Canvas user account

Here at the University of Washington, we are located in the Pacific Standard Time zone. The due dates and other course dates in the course are based on this time zone. Participants have the option of setting up their user account with their own time zones so that the course dates and times synchronize to those areas. 

Open User Settings


In Global Navigation, click the Account link, then click the Settings link.

Edit Settings


Click on the Edit Settings link


Set User Time Zone



In the Time Zone drop-down menu, select a new time zone for your user account.

Update Settings
